Nearly 11 million French people will receive inflation compensation in the amount of 100 euros this Thursday. Exceptional solidarity aid provided for under the amending finance law for purchasing power. Who are the beneficiaries ? How to receive it? Europe 1 explains to you.

10.8 million French people will receive an inflation bonus this Thursday in the amount of 100 euros, plus 50 euros per dependent child. Help to cope with inflation and the decline in purchasing power. The exceptional back-to-school bonus is part of the measures taken by the government in favor of purchasing power within the framework of the amending finance law.

Who are the beneficiaries ?

This exceptional aid will be paid to beneficiaries of social minima, i.e. people who receive the active solidarity income (RSA), the allowance for disabled adults (AAH), the solidarity allowance for elderly people and recipients of housing aid such as the APL.

Beneficiaries of the activity bonus are also concerned and will receive aid of 28 euros, plus 14 euros per dependent child. But this aid will only come in mid-November.

How to receive it?

The premium will be automatically paid in one go, without any action on the part of the beneficiaries and you will receive it from the organization on which your social minima depend. For example, by the Family allowance fund if you receive the APL.

The government had already set up this inflation allowance in 2021, in the face of the sharp rise in the cost of energy and gasoline in particular. Thus, 38 million French people earning less than 2,000 euros net per month were able to benefit from it. This year, the exceptional back-to-school bonus comes at the same time as the back-to-school allowance (ARS), paid to families in two instalments subject to means testing. Not to be confused then.
