I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone. Russia has already cut or reduced supplies to 12 of the 27 EU member states.
- The European Commission will present a plan next month for EU countries to coordinate their preparations for new gas shocks
- the plan will identify measures to reduce gas demand
- identify critical sectors where reduced gas demand could disrupt supply chains
This will have negative consequences for the EU economy. Let’s see what they can find to counter the impact.
