Escaped Murder Convict Danelo Cavalcante Spotted By Home Camera, Law Enforcement Scan Area

Danelo Souza Cavalcante, an escaped murder convict, was spotted in a residential area over the weekend, sparking major efforts to seek his recapture.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced the breakthrough via a social media statement on Saturday.
“The escaped murderer, Danelo Cavalcante, 34, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, was observed on a residential surveillance camera on September 2, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Lenape Road, approximately 1.5 miles from the prison,” the statement said. office wrote.

Pennsylvania law enforcement and the US Marshals Service are now offering a $10,000 reward for the search for Cavalcante, who was recently convicted of the 2021 murder of his ex-girlfriend and sentenced to life in prison .
Cavalcante – who the US Marshals Service says is also “wanted in connection with a homicide in Brazil”, his home country – escaped from Chester County Jail on Thursday morning, but investigators said they believe that he was heading south.
Immigration officials aren’t sure exactly when Cavalcante entered the United States, but told Fox News Digital he was not “inspected or admitted by a U.S. immigration official.”

“After his arrest in the United States, ICE became aware of his unlawful presence and a detention order was filed against Souza Cavalcante,” an agency spokesperson said. “ICE Enforcement and Suppression (ERO) Operations, from the ERO field office in Philadelphia, supports local, state, and federal partners in the search for Souza Cavalcante.”
