| Local News | Usa news

Asked on the sidelines of a trip, the almost candidate Eric Zemmour spoke about the role he would like to give to France on the international scene if he was elected in 2022, in particular on the subject of Franco-Russian relations.

Eric Zemmour spoke about his vision of Franco-Russian relations, on the sidelines of a trip to promote his latest work. Asked by our colleagues in Sputnik on November 6, he felt that France should no longer “submit to German and American supervision”, that is to say “leave the integrated military command of NATO”, but above all “to stop this stupid and outdated real-false confrontation with Russia”.

Regarding this last point, Eric Zemmour specified that France should according to him “reach out to Russia, reach out to countries like Hungary and Poland who are resisting the Brussels Commission”. In this sense, the polemicist felt that the first step to take was to renounce European and Western sanctions. “It will be a gesture of friendship towards our Russian friends, I was going to say our Russian brothers”, he declared.

“We are not here to teach the whole Earth moral lessons. We are not here to teach the whole Earth human rights lessons. We are there to defend our interests in order to become a balancing power in the world, ”he concluded.

If he is not yet officially a candidate, Eric Zemmour has yet made a very commented entry into the presidential campaign. And as often in the French politico-media landscape, some do not hesitate to wave the Russian scarecrow, implying that a change of position towards Moscow would present some danger.
