England v USA LIVE commentary: Three Lions take on Americans in crucial Group B clash after stunning Iran win

In-form England take on the United States in their second World Cup 2022 group game on Friday night and it will be live on talkSPORT.

Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions won Group B in Qatar, beating Iran in style with a stunning 6-2 win.

Kane’s England take on USA in their second World Cup game

England went wild against the helpless Iranians as Bukayo Saka scored twice and Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham also found the net.

Now things will get tough for Southgate and co as they take on an American team with plenty of quality.

England infamously drew with the United States in their 2010 World Cup opener in South Africa.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard gave the Three Lions an early lead but a howler from Rob Green handed Clint Dempsey an equaliser.

Now Southgate will be eager to show that lessons have been learned and that his team will not underestimate their enemies across the pond.

Another win would all but confirm England’s passage into the knockout stage ahead of their all-British showdown with Wales next Tuesday.
