Emma Raducanu withdraws from upcoming tournament in Russia after Indian Wells exit

The US Open champion has withdrawn from the Kremlin Cup, which is due to start in Moscow on Monday, October 18.
The 18-year-old was beaten in her first game since her stunning debut Grand Slam triumph in New York.
Raducanu lost in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells in straight sets against Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
She has now chosen to take a week off as she continues to refine her end-of-season schedule, with no reason given for her withdrawal.
The next tournament Raducanu is due to take part in is the Transylvanian Open in Romania, which is scheduled for the week of October 25.
Raducanu confirmed this week that she is scheduled to play at an exhibition in the United Arab Emirates in December as part of her preparations for her Australian Open debut.
