Eddie Hearn has claimed Tyson Fury reps have now made an offer to Derek Chisora for a trilogy fight later this year.
The Gypsy King has been adamant that he is now retired from professional boxing since his win over Dillian Whyte in April.
Few believe him though, and the latest rumor about his return is a trilogy with Chisora.
Bizarrely, in an interview on talkSPORT Fight Night last month, Fury said he had now fallen out with his former friend Chisora.
Fury first edged Chisora in a close British title fight in 2011 and then dominated it for a stoppage win in their rematch three years later.
After the second meeting, the couple became friends and often supported each other in their fights.
Before Fury’s last outing against Dillian Whyte, Chisora predicted victory for the challenger.
Although he had lunch with him the day after the fight, the Gypsy King claimed he took it personally and challenged his old foe to a third meeting.
According to Hearn, an official offer has now been made.
Chisora has partnered with Matchroom for several fights in recent years, although he is not tied to a long-term contract.
On Friday, Hearn told Boxing Social, “Derek had an offer from the Tyson Fury camp.
“It wasn’t enough money, I’m not sure we’re going to see that fight.
“But good to see Tyson Fury keeping his options open.”
