Dozens of EasyJet flights were canceled Thursday, May 26 from several airports in Europe, including several in France, due to a computer problem, announces the low-cost airline.
Flights resume but disruptions may continue in the evening and even until Friday morning due to a domino effect, EasyJet told franceinfo.
In France, the airports of Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, Lyon, Toulouse and Nice were particularly concerned. At these four airports, more than twenty flights departing from or arriving in the United Kingdom, Morocco, Portugal, Italy and Spain have been canceled. A few other flights were delayed.
The computer problem mainly impacted flights between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The situation returns to normal on Thursday evening. On Twitter, EasyJet still invites its passengers to “check status” of their flights on its website. “We apologize to all customers.”
