Dow and S&P hit new intraday highs as equities start trading

NASDAQ leads the way ahead of Microsoft and Alphabet earnings after the close

Major stock indices are trading higher at open with the Dow and S&P setting new intraday highs. The NASDAQ index is also higher, leading the way with a gain close to 0.6%. The NASDAQ is roughly 0.5% off its all-time high reached on September 7.

  • The Dow Industrial Average rose 85 points or 0.24% to 35824.57
  • S&P Index rises 20.41 points or 0.45% 4,586.52
  • The NASDAQ index was up 101 points or 0.66% to 15327.

  • Spot silver fell $ 0.55 -2.26% $ 24
