Donald Trump tells Letitia James how to do her job after suing him

Donald Trump told New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday how to do his job after he sued the ex-president and his three eldest children for allegedly misvaluing assets to deceive lenders and tax officials. James called the scale of the fraud “staggering”. (Watch below.)

The former president, in friendly territory with Sean Hannity on Fox News for the second part of an interview, made a wild transition claiming he intimidated the Taliban into attacking James. He said crime in New York was “the worst we’ve ever seen”. (NYPD statistics show homicides are down 13% from the previous year, while rapes, robberies and assaults are up.)

“Letitia James, she should be focused on murder and crime in New York, where they walk into stores with axes and start swinging axes at people,” Trump said, possibly referring to a man who destroyed furniture at a Manhattan McDonald’s last week with a hatchet.

“That’s where she should be focusing, not on the value of Mar-a-Lago,” he continued.

James’ pursuit of the alleged Trump scam appears to fall squarely within his purview.

“The Office of the Attorney General is charged with statutory and common law powers to protect consumers and investors, charitable donors, public health and the environment, civil rights, and the rights of employees and businesses throughout the State,” the AG’s website reads. .
