Game news Did you love Batman Arkham Knight? Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League thinks twice as big!
Mutism was probably required for Rocksteady after the cold shower inflicted by the community, but the studio seems determined to get back on track: Suicide Squad returns to give some news through a long video.
Complex course
The least we can say is that Rocksteady is a studio that particularly shone at the end of the 2000s until 2015: it’s simple, the British have somewhat broken the codes of super video games. -heroes with their Batman Arkhram, widely recognized as being real video game gems. Yet, the firm has not produced anything for eight years now and for good reason: it is working hard on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
For now, the principle differs a little since we will not control one, but directly four characters: Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and King Shark, all with specific gameplay. Together – specifying that this is a game that will be played alone or in cooperation – they will have to counter an extraterrestrial threat which has invaded Metropolis… and above all having contaminated the Justice League, which then turns against the population.
The problem is that in addition to multiple delays, public feedback after the first gameplay presentations has been so cold that it’s Warner Bros. Interactive itself which decided to review the formula to avoid breakage: we have to believe that the players didn’t really expect that and the English therefore went back to work, not without a certain sense of duty. And with a lot of pressure on their shoulders, probably.
Comeback time
After long months of silence, Rocksteady came back to speak and revealed some important information (literally): the city of Metropolis will be twice the size of Gotham in Batman Arkham Knight!
As the developers admit in a long video dedicated to the story and gameplay (accessible in our player above)each character will have their own way of moving: in fact, mobility will even be a central element of gameplay. And to go hand in hand, we needed a larger, more spacious open world.
If all goes well, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to release on February 2, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series : we therefore imagine that communication around the title should increase considerably in the coming months, with this first making-of being only the beginning of a solid marketing campaign. Fingers crossed that the result will match the length of the development.
