Democrat Hassan rattled during debate over General Bolduc’s anti-establishment policies

Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) appeared shaken during Thursday night’s debate by Republican Gen. Don Bolduc’s anti-establishment policies.

When the moderator asked about soaring prices at the grocery store, Hassan said her husband “gasped” at the posted price of eggs. General Bolduc replied that she “should take her breath away”.

“It’s his fault,” General Bolduc said of inflation. “She should be panting. She owns four homes from Washington, DC to New Hampshire. She is a multi-millionaire.

General Bolduc also said he would not have voted for the massive spending supported by Hassan during the pandemic, which fueled inflation.

“Inflation is really hurting Granite Staters,” Hassan replied. “We need to work as hard as possible to bring prices down in the short term,” she said.

Hassan had no response to the claim that experts say his votes fueled inflation.

General Bolduc continued to criticize Hassan over soaring prices. “You can’t even buy a house, you can’t even rent a property, you can’t even feed your children, you can’t even heat your house. It is the ultimate tax.

Hassan voted to increase the tax burden on Americans who earn only $20,000 a year.

Asked about soaring energy prices, Hassan blamed “big oil companies”.

“What you see is the big oil companies increasing their profits, paying their executives rather than lowering the prices at the pump. And Don Bolduc is not about to hold them accountable,” Hassan said.

Although he condemned “big oil companies”, Hassan holds investments in fossil fuels.

When the debate changed to talking about the open southern border, General Bolduc said the influx of illegal migrants into the country was the result of Hassan’s policies. “This is a problem that the Biden administration and Maggie Hassan created because of bad policy,” he said.

Hassan voted against Title 42, which allows Border Patrol agents to prevent illegal migrants from entering the country due to their recent stay in a country where communicable diseases are present, such as the coronavirus.

Hassan has refused to oppose the Biden administration’s illegal immigration policy. Additionally, she also opposed former President Donald Trump’s “Stay in Mexico” policy, which President Joe Biden ended.

Hassan ignored her immigration record and appeared to assert that she supported greater border enforcement despite her voting record.

Among the final questions, General Bolduc was asked which world leader he admires. General Bolduc replied, “I’m not going to say that I admire anyone right now. The world needs a lot of work.

This answer seemed to surprise Hassan. When it was Hassan’s turn to answer the same question, she pointedly said the president of Ukraine, who is the leader of one of the most corrupt nations in the world.

“Volodymyr Zelensky,” she says.
