Death of singer Buzy, performer of the song “Body physical” in the 1980s

The singer Buzy, who achieved success in the 1980s, with the song Body physicalhas just died at the age of 66.
The singer Marie-Claire Girod, better known as Buzy, and performer of the hit Body Physical in the 1980s, died Tuesday November 14 in Paris, we learned Wednesday from those around her. She was 66 years old.
Buzy made a name for himself in the 1980s with the hit Body physicalin 1986, but also titles like Dyslexic, Baby boom, Adrian or I Love You Lulu (the latter was supervised by Serge Gainsbourg).
From the 1990s, the general public lost sight of her, even if the artist continued to release records. We find her thus, not at the head of the bill, but as the opening act for Michel Sardou at L’Olympia at the beginning of 1995, the year of the release of her best-of.
Although she had left the world of music to work as a psychotherapist in the early 2000s, Marie-Claire Girod returned to singing in 2005, for an album composed with Daniel Darc, Jay Alanski and Alice Botté, titled Borderlove. In 2011, an album entitled Tous Buzy paid tribute to him. Independent artists performed his best-known songs there.
His latest album, Crazy horsewas released in 2019. She had published an autobiography entitled Gears.
