One of the many reasons Cristiano Ronaldo is an elite footballer is his mentality, no matter who he plays against.
In an excerpt from Amazon’s documentary All or Nothing, which focuses on Juventus, the forward – who was then playing his profession in Serie A – showed how confident he is when facing a Barcelona side that contained Lionel Messi at the time.

Ronaldo’s prediction ahead of Juve’s game against Barca came true but it wasn’t by luck
Former Juve football manager Fabio Paratici has been overheard talking to former player and now vice-president Pavel Nedved about the upcoming Champions League game in December 2020.
“We cannot win 3-0 against Barcelona,” Nedved told Paratici, who replied: “Cristiano said we can.”
Obviously, Ronaldo installed huge confidence in the squad when they traveled to Camp Nou as they beat Messi’s former side 3-0.
Inevitably, he found the net twice in this game on either side of a Weston McKennie strike.

Paratici, however, told Nedved that Ronaldo believed otherwise

Ronaldo and his teammates did a light Barca job
Unfortunately for the Portuguese superstar and his teammates, this game did not turn out to be meaningful.
In the round of 16, they faced Porto and were excluded from the tournament for away goals.
The aftermath highlighted Ronaldo’s anger and sadness as the clip showed him in tears full-time in the locker room.
Things didn’t end well for Ronaldo but was inconsolable after being knocked out at Porto
The documentary follows Juventus’ 2020/21 season – much like Tottenham and Man City – which ended with Ronaldo leaving the club at the end of the campaign.
Since leaving the club this summer to return to the Red Devils, things haven’t gone much better for either side.
The “Old Lady” is declining in the Serie A intermediate table, 11 points behind leaders Napoli and was recently demolished by Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s Man United struggle similarly in the Premier League, but can take comfort in knowing that he has advanced to the knockout stages of the Champions League as a group winner.

Things ended with a moan for Ronaldo at Juve who also failed to help the club retain the title in their final season.
