Crawford vs Porter: UK fight time, prediction, undercard, odds and more

Crawford defends the WBO belt he has held since defeating Australian Jeff Horn in 2019, the third weight in which he was world champion.
The 34-year-old was undisputed in welterweight, having beaten Julius Indongo in 2017, before advancing, and established himself as one of the best fighters in the world.
The only criticism leveled at him has been his inability to secure fights against the biggest names in the division, even though all of his last 15 fights have been world title fights.
He has the chance to put that to bed against Porter this weekend, who poses a real threat to Crawford’s unbeaten record.
Porter is a two-time welterweight world champion and only lost his belts in huge fights against Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr.
He hasn’t fought since August 2020, when he won every round against Sebastian Formella, and is entering that fight as an underdog against one of the best pound for pound.
Crawford finally has his chance to secure a victory against an elite fighter on his record, but will have to go through Porter, who regularly produces all-action shows in his biggest fights.

Crawford vs. Porter fight prediction
Crawford is undefeated in his 37 pro fights, but this weekend’s fight is widely regarded as the toughest of his career to date.
His last fight was just over a year ago, against Brook, and the British fighter was stopped in four rounds after a ruthless performance by the American. Crawford hasn’t competed in the full 12 rounds for over five years.
Porter himself has been in big fights throughout his career, but failed when he took the step in class to fight the best in the division.
He lost in points to Brook in 2014, in his second defense of his IBF world title, in what was the first of three losses to renowned fighters on his professional record.
The other two also scored points, to Keith Thurman and Spence Jr, in the thrilling fight of the year, and with Porter rarely in a boring fight, Saturday’s fight could be another explosive fight.
Probably the best chance for the 34-year-old to upset Crawford is an aggressive approach in the opening rounds, with the frontrunner likely the happier of the two trying to block while controlling distance.
We’re going with Crawford to win on points and prove he’s one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. He’s up against a man in Porter who’s never been arrested, so expect him to work hard before he finally takes his biggest test.
Crawford vs Porter Weigh
The final press conference took place on Wednesday, but there was no face-to-face meeting between the two fighters after it.
Crawford has made it clear he’s already fully focused and mentally prepared for Saturday night.
“It’s already overturned. Once we signed the contract, the switch was flipped, ”Crawford said.
Porter was in an equally confident mood and believes the time to speak is over, with neither of them likely to be affected by offensive language.
He said: “There isn’t much I can say to change the way he thinks about himself, and vice versa.
“He can’t tell me ‘I’m going to break your ass’ and he knows it, that’s why he doesn’t dare to do it.”
The weigh-in took place on Friday evening, with both fighters gaining weight to ensure the fight goes without last-minute drama.
Terence Crawford arrived at 146.4 pounds, with Shawn Porter slightly the heavier of the two at 146.6 pounds.
