Conservatives rally around Donald Trump after arrest prediction

Conservatives have sounded the alarm following news that former President Donald Trump expects arrest on Tuesday based on “unlawful leaks” from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Republican lawmakers and conservative figures and commentators said the planned arrest of Trump, who is running for president in 2024, shows how the justice system is “armed against all Americans” and warned that the United States is turned into a “banana republic”. Even so, many conservatives are betting an arrest would only expose more of the extent of Democratic corruption, ultimately sending support for Trump’s presidential race skyrocketing.

“Here we go again – an outrageous abuse of power by a radical prosecutor who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues his political revenge against President Trump,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said ( R-CA), who called for an immediate investigation into “if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) tweeted on Saturday that “the conduct of the left is similar to the conduct you find in a banana republic where the Authoritarian state punishes its political enemies through criminal prosecutions in search of crimes.

“Trump Derangement Syndrome does not provide legal cover. The public rightly expects prosecutors to discharge their responsibilities without political bias. Indictments, investigations and incarceration to settle political scores show a deep disregard for the rule of law,” Schmitt said.

Richard Grenell, who was aacting director of national intelligence under Trump, said the Democrats have “subverted the powers of government against their political enemies” and “must be stopped or they will permanently ruin our country.”

“They are out of control – and have brought chaos to our streets, to the economy and to the world,” Grenell said.

Donald Trump Jr. said his father’s arrest would prove Democrats are “one step closer” to taking the freedoms of the American people.

“The same people who told you that Donald Trump was a direct threat to American democracy are about to indict their party’s main political rival and try to put him in jail. That never happened. before in American history. The Democrats under Joe Biden – and their media allies – are everything they told you Trump was – the real authoritarian dictators bent on achieving total political power,” the host said. Clay Travis Radio.

“This is literally happening the same week we received direct evidence that several members of the Biden family are receiving millions of dollars in payments from China, our main political adversary, simply because of their surnames,” a- he added. “If anyone needs to be arrested next week, it’s the entire Biden crime family. Trump is arrested for allegedly paying money to a porn star. Meanwhile, China is paying the Biden millions entirely for political favors. It’s totally crazy. We now live in a banana republic.

“If they can come for Trump, they’ll come for you,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said. “Things like this only happen in authoritarian Third World countries.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Breitbart News Saturday that an arrest “smacks of the kind of political prosecution we faced during the days of the Russian hoax”.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said an arrest “must be seen for the pathetic partisan ploy that it is.”

“Virtually every campaign finance violation involves either 1) spending other people’s money illegally or 2) taking money from your campaign when you shouldn’t. Trump did neither one neither. He used his own money to resolve a private dispute, independent of any campaign,” Gaetz said. The impending indictment is based on untested and tortured legal theory. This is an absurd abuse of the criminal process in our politics. You have to see it for the pathetic partisan ploy that it is.

Republican strategist Andrew Surabian said voters should not “reward leftist bullies, who weaponize government to stop their political enemies, putting anyone but Trump in the White House in 2024.”

“What is happening is the crap of the 3rd World Banana Republic and the Republicans must resist it,” he said.

In a similar vein, House Republican Conference President Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said Democrats “don’t understand” that Trump’s political persecution will only motivate Americans to vote for him. in 2024.

“What these corrupt left-wing prosecutors like Alvin Bragg and their socialist allies fail to understand is that the America First Patriots have never been more motivated to exercise their constitutional rights to organize peacefully and vote at the ballot box for save our great republic,” Stefanik said.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) predicted that Trump will “eventually win even more than he’s already going to win” if indicted.

“And those Republicans who stand by and applaud his persecution or do nothing to stop him will be exposed to the people and will be remembered, despised and punished by the base,” Greene added.

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) said a “politically motivated suit strengthens the case for Trump.”

“Several reporters have asked me if an indictment would cause me to rescind my support for Donald Trump. The answer is: hell no. A politically motivated lawsuit strengthens the case for Trump. We just don’t real country if justice depends on politics,” Vance said.

“Trump will be our next president,” said author Eric Metaxas. “Dem & Deep State’s hopelessly desperate treatment of him – what the Brits wanted to do with Washington & Jefferson & Franklin & Adams – will significantly clarify the narrative for anyone still on the fence. It’s time to choose. Tyranny will lose. Again.”
