UFC superstar Conor McGregor has finally met the man who hopes to play ‘Notorious’ as they inevitably turn his life into a movie.

Oscar winner Jared Leto ran into the former two-weight UFC champion and the two seemed to immediately strike up a friendship.

“Talk about conspiracies with Jared Leto not movies,” McGregor posted on Instagram alongside several photos of him and the Hollywood actor.

The reunion comes three months after the Dallas Buyers Club actor expressed interest in playing either McGregor or UFC President Dana White on the big screen.

“If we were doing the UFC movie, if I was younger, I would be playing Conor McGregor. I have a beard,” Leto said in March.

“What Conor is doing and what these guys and girls are doing is just amazing.

“I’m probably too old to do Conor, but you never know. Maybe we could use CGI.

McGregor certainly seemed enthusiastic about the idea and offered the 50-year-old movie star the chance to train with him upon hearing the news.

It now seems more likely after the pair wrote it off when they first met

The Irishman tweeted: “Jared Leto, I invite you to come and rehearse the role with me!”

Now it looks like Leto has gone along with it, though McGregor was keen to point out that they talked about other business besides the movies.

The 33-year-old has been out of action since suffering a fractured tibia and fibula at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Last week, McGregor returned to kicking for the first time as he targets a 2022 comeback fight at welterweight after seriously swelling during his absence from the sport.

The MMA legend has been called out by the likes of Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler ahead of his comeback, but he’s hoping to jump straight into a title fight with UFC welterweight king Kamaru Usman, although that match looks like unlikely.
