Conor McGregor was every WWE fan this weekend as he relished seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin sipping on beer when he returned to the ring.
The Texas Rattlesnake took on Kevin Owen at WrestleMania 38 in his first WWE match in 19 years on Saturday, and the 57-year-old picked up the win much to the delight of his home fans.
Former two-division UFC champion McGregor was quick to jump on Twitter to praise beer drinker Austin, who drank multiple cans of beer, while not missing the chance to promote his pub in Dublin.
“Me at the Black Forge Inn!” McGregor said. “Arms like Stone Cold, leave a motherfucker Stone Cold. Catch the cans that don’t smell.
He also didn’t miss an opportunity to wrap up the WWE Superstars list, separately tweeting, “Why wasn’t I at Wrestlemania? They all fear me, that’s why.
Austin and Owens were joined by Ronda Rousey, Logan Paul and Becky Lynch on the first night of the company’s biggest PPV event.
And it was McGregor’s compatriot Lycnh who suggested they team up next year.
Lynch, who was beaten in a stoppage match against Bianca Belair, responded to McGreogor’s tweet with a question.
“Hey man. I could have used you. Bianca brought an army. Next year?”
