Coldplay’s Chris Martin plays an impromptu song in the pub after Glastonbury | Glastonbury 2022

Chris Martin delighted customers at a rural pub on their way back from Glastonbury, playing Coldplay’s song A Sky Full of Stars on the pub’s piano.

In the warm setting of the Stag Inn in the village of Hinton Charterhouse, North Somerset, he dedicated the performance to a couple from the pub who planned to have the song as their first dance at their wedding.

“It was one of those things where you’re like, ‘Fine, it’s happening,'” pub owner Chris Parkin told Sky News. “It was really awesome, awesome time.”

Martin, who visited Glastonbury and the pub with his actress girlfriend (and rumored fiancée) Dakota Johnson, is a regular festival-goer as well as an entertainer. Coldplay has headlined Glastonbury four times and also played a set during the festival’s live-streamed version in 2021.

The band are now on hiatus from their world tour, which resumes July 2 in Frankfurt before beginning their UK tour in August with six nights at Wembley.
