CNN and MSNBC try to connect Paul Pelosi Assault to January 6

The CNN and MSNBC networks recently attempted to link the attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) husband Paul Pelosi to the Jan. 6 riot.

The attempts came as voters prepare to head to the polls for the midterm elections.

“Before the attack happened, according to this source, the intruder confronted Mr. Pelosi in their home shouting, ‘Where’s Nancy? Where is Nancy? an MSNBC host said, adding, “That’s what intruders walking through the halls on January 6 were shouting, ‘Nancy, Nancy.'”

On Friday, San Francisco Police Department Chief Bill Scott identified the suspect in the attack on Pelosi’s husband as 42-year-old David DePape, Breitbart News reported:

“At approximately 2:27 a.m. this morning, police officers from San Francisco were dispatched to the residence of President Nancy Pelosi for a priority health check. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a grown man and Ms. Pelosi’s husband, Paul,” Scott told a news conference.

“Our officers observed Mr. Pelosi and the suspect both holding a hammer. The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it. Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency support and provided medical assistance.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden (D) blamed Republicans for the assault on Paul Pelosi, according to Breitbart News.

“It’s been reported that the same chant was used by this guy they have in custody that was used on January 6 in the attack on the United States Capitol. I’m not making this up” , Biden said.

“It’s reported. I cannot guarantee it. I can tell you what’s reported,” he continued, adding, “The chant was ‘Where’s Nancy!? Where is Nancy!? Where’s Nancy!?’”

However, Paul Pelosi reportedly told 911 dispatchers that the suspect who attacked him “is a friend,” according to a police call made early that day.

“PR [Reporting Person] says there is a man in the house and he is going to wait for his wife. RP said he didn’t know who the man was, but he indicated his name was David and that he was a friend,” the dispatcher noted, adding, “RP seemed somewhat confused.

FBI officials then visited a home in Berkeley linked to the suspect, a place neighbors would call the “hippie collective.”

A picture of the house show a handwritten “Black Lives Matter” sign in the window, a flag with marijuana leaves hanging from a nearby tree, and another sign in a window that read “Berkeley Stands United Against Hate.”

The slogans and symbols in the photo contradict attempts to link the suspect to “MAGA extremists”, according to Breitbart News.
