Chris Evans scaled back his acting role after meeting wife Alba Baptista

Chris Evans just offered a rare glimpse into life with his wife Alba Baptista.

The “Captain America” ​​star briefly discussed their romance while telling GQ about his decision to make fewer films in an interview published Tuesday.

“I haven’t worked all year and I don’t plan to, which has been nice,” he said in the interview, which took place before the nuptials of Evans and Baptista earlier this month.

While the ‘Avengers’ actor said he tried to lighten his workload after retiring from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2019, he didn’t realize how busy his schedule was was still demanding until he started dating Baptista.

“My girlfriend that I’ve had for a while, when we first started dating…I was like, ‘Yeah, I do one movie a year.’ I try to never work now. And then, after a few months of dating, boom, guess what? We’ve been living in Atlanta for a year. Be prepared.”

Evans and Baptista’s relationship became public in November 2022, less than a year after he began filming the romantic adventure “Ghosted” in Georgia in February.

He was first linked to the “Warrior Nun” actor in early 2022, after fans noticed that she followed several of his family members on Instagram.

Although Evans said he still loved acting, he admitted that being in front of the camera was “not something I couldn’t live without.”

“Ultimately, I really hope to act maybe a little less in my life,” he told GQ. “I have many other interests.”

Evans and Baptista reportedly married at his Boston-area home on September 9.
