Charles Barkley reveals his Fenway Park fantasy and his co-hosts lose it

Charles Barkley said on Thursday he would “love to sit on top of the Monstah”, absolutely killing his TNT colleagues. (Watch the video below.)

It was chance. It was his atrocious Boston accent when saying “monster.” That was about all the Basketball Hall of Fame put in its statement about Green Monster’s famous left-field wall at Fenway Park, which it said it had never visited.

Hoops analyst Kenny Smith said Barkley’s reveal was “just a viral moment waiting to happen”.

Fans can sit on the Green Monster, one of the iconic home features of the Boston Red Sox.

Barkley said he was willing to donate to charity to make it happen.

The TNT basketball team covered the Boston Celtics’ home win over the Miami Heat to force a Game 6 in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The broadcast team won’t return to Boston this season if the Celtics lose the next game in Miami.

But at some point, Barkley has to achieve his goal.
