Chances of showers increase after sunset on Saturday, Impact Day

Northern California Forecast: Chance of showers increases after sunset, Impact Day Saturday
Meteorologist Tamara Berg says as clouds increase Friday afternoon, so does the chance of showers. Scattered showers are expected as sunset approaches the region, with some of the best rain arriving overnight and Saturday. Steady rain is expected early Saturday, with moderate to heavy showers at times in the afternoon. This will impact outdoor events, like the Causeway Classic, which kicks off at noon. (See the full football forecast below.) The KCRA 3 Weather Team is calling Saturday an impact day due to steady, moderate precipitation. Saturday there will also be a few thunderstorms. The best snow in the Sierra will fall Saturday afternoon and late evening. Levels will be around 6,000 feet. Looking ahead, Sunday looks set to be dry and slightly windy. Next week also looks dry.
