The first holiday weekend for July fans is already sold out in many seaside resorts. Example at Camping de la Plage in Houlgate, Normandy.
At Camping de la Plage in Houlgate (Calvados), the first weekend of July is busy, with around thirty departures and as many arrivals in a single day. After 9 hours on the road, Patrick and Cathy happily discover the trailer in which they will spend the week, with their feet in the water. It’s a paradise for families, like Alexandra and her two daughters, who fell in love with the place last summer. “We came last year in a motorhome, we only spent two days in Houlgate and this year, we wanted to spend more time there”said the vacationer.
This first weekend of July marks the start of a season that promises to be very good. “We are complete for the summer period, so yes it’s a good good season ahead”, notes Stéphane Lhommet, director of Camping de la Plage. Provided that the Norman weather is not too capricious.
