California dad arrested, charged with child pornography after wife finds hidden camera in bathroom


A California father was arrested on Thursday for child pornography after his wife allegedly found a hidden camera in their guest bathroom that revealed more than 900 images of child pornography, the Redding Police Department said.

Police arrested Ryan Rovito, 34, of Redding, a town about 160 miles north of Sacramento, on a warrant on Thursday, just over a week after his wife allegedly found the hidden camera and handed it over, as well as a hard disk connected, to font. Authorities allegedly discovered the child pornography images and several videos from the camera after conducting a forensic analysis of the devices, according to the Redding Police Department.

“Videos showed children and adults using the bathroom who did not appear to know they were being recorded,” police said.

As of Sunday morning, his name was no longer on the prison’s online list of inmates.
