NEW YORK – A Electric scooter pilot program in the Bronx is expanding.

Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez is expected to announce the second phase of the program on Wednesday, which will double its footprint in the East Bronx.

Program operators Bird, Lime and Veo are also working to double the size of the scooter fleet from 3,000 to 6,000.
