‘Border Czar’ Harris kicks off 42 title lift with Dem ‘Soiree’

Vice President Kamala Harris kicks off her administration’s Title 42 lifting by headlining the Georgia Democratic Party’s “Spring Soiree” fundraiser on Friday.
Harris, named Border Czar by President Joe Biden in 2021, is scheduled to attend Friday’s “Spring Soiree” in Atlanta and the private fundraiser hosted by the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The events mark the start of their Biden-Harris campaign to raise as much money as possible for the 2024 election cycle.
She will attend fundraisers instead of traveling to the US-Mexico border in her capacity as border czar, where 400,000 border commuters and illegal aliens are expected to travel to the southern border each month, as the Biden administration puts end of title 42.
Title 42 was a federal public health authority that sought to control the border, which expired at 11:59 p.m. Thursday. House Republicans on Thursday passed legislation, HR2, to codify some of former President Trump’s toughest border policies. But the legislation still has to go through the Senate, and the White House has promised President Joe Biden will veto it.
John Binder of Breitbart News noted in an explanatory article about what will happen when the Trump-era rules end that there will likely be around 400,000 border commuters and illegal aliens coming to the southern border each month, which exceeds the population of certain cities.
THE New York Post reported that the vice president’s office was reluctant to share its specific plans to deal with the border crisis in the coming days. But, a White House official defended Harris’ involvement in the plans.
[Harris] was engaged and regularly briefed on preparations for the end of public health emergency measures – including Title 42 – while continuing to make progress in addressing the root causes of migration from Honduras, Guatemala and other countries. ‘El Salvador.
Since Biden announced that Harris would be the “border czar” in March 2021, Republicans have increasingly critical for his lack of effort and his reluctance to go to the border.
