Blind Elderly San Francisco Poodle Is Ready For His ‘Golden Years’ In A New Home

A spirited senior pup hopes to find a forever family to brighten the rest of his life.

Bindi, a 13-year-old poodle, is available for adoption from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco, California.

The poodle was originally found wandering in Contra Costa County near San Francisco before Muttville Rescue took her in and cared for her.

Bindi is completely blind, but she “doesn’t let life get her down,” the shelter says.

She weighs just 11 pounds, but she “walks with pep in her step” and is a “sweet, friendly girl,” notes the shelter.

“Bindi can’t see everything, but she sniffs and bumps very well,” says the dog’s biography on Muttville’s website.

“She gets along great with dogs, is popular with people, and is generally the loveliest of little ladies,” the site adds.

Bindi loves to sunbathe and isn't much of a beggar when it comes to treats, according to her foster family.

The curly-coated poodle is house-trained and is “rather smart and lively” for his age, according to his foster family.

“She can be a little anxious if she thinks she’s all alone in the house, so she’ll probably do better with someone who can spend most of the day with her,” her caretakers wrote.
