Bill Hagerty: Immigration Provision in Reconciliation Bill ‘Set Back’ American Workers

Senator Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., urged Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., oppose immigration provisions in the budget reconciliation bill that would make available hundreds of thousands of additional employment-based green cards – provisions Hagerty calls “the crown jewel of corporate lobbying” . The senator joined “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday to discuss the matter.

BILL HAGERTY: “What it does to the American worker is he pushes them away for a generation to come while Big Tech billionaires smile right up to the bank. green cards, essentially green unlimited cards, which means permanent residency for foreign workers right here in America. These big tech companies can hire as many foreign workers as they want. They don’t have to worry about discriminating against them. American workers they can do it all day long. Facebook actually had to settle a multibillion-dollar lawsuit for discriminating against American workers in favor of foreign workers. This provision basically allows this to happen all day. “
