President Biden’s younger sister will kick off her book tour Thursday night in Washington, D.C., ahead of the release of her memoir next week, which could create a headache for the White House as she continues to cash in on the his brother’s political career, in conflict with White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s statement last January on the White House’s ethics policy.

“It is the policy of the White House that the President’s name should not be used in the course of commercial activities to suggest or in any way – in any way that could reasonably be understood to imply his approval or support,” Psaki said.

Longtime campaign adviser and Biden political confidant Valerie Biden Owens will release her memoir, “Growing Up Biden: A Memoir,” next Tuesday. The book includes a childhood photo of her, Joe Biden, their two brothers and their mother on the cover of the book. Not only did Owens serve as Biden’s campaign manager for his seven successful Senate campaigns, but she also advised Biden during all three presidential campaigns and played a vital role in the lives of his family.

During Biden’s second presidential campaign in 2007 and 2008, Owens served as chairwoman of her brother’s national campaign. It doesn’t appear Biden’s campaign paid her directly, but Democratic consultancy Joe Slade White & Company, where Owens served as “executive vice president,” raised more than $2.5 million. Biden’s presidential campaign and “Citizens for Biden”. committee between March 2007 and October 2008.

Owens’ daughter, Valerie J. Owens, who goes by the name “Missy”, also earned money working for her uncle’s presidential campaign, where she earned tens of thousands of dollars.

Missy went on to hold several high-level positions under the Obama-Biden administration. She served as deputy chief of staff at the Energy Department between February 2009 and June 2011, according to her LinkedIn page. She then served for a year as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for a year. Owens then worked at Coca-Cola in its government relations department for a decade, including while the company reportedly lobbied against a bill cracking down on the use of Uyghur forced labor in China. Two months ago, General Motors hired her to a management position in the company’s regulatory affairs department.

Valerie’s other daughter, Casey, also got a job in the Obama-Biden administration, serving as special assistant to the senior China coordinator at the Treasury Department for more than two years. Her LinkedIn says she “managed a range of workflows critical to executing the U.S.-China strategic and economic dialogue — one of the Obama administration’s largest bilateral foreign economic policy initiatives.” She then rose through the corporate ranks at Starbucks, where she is now vice president.

Toward the end of the Obama-Biden administration, Missy reached out to her first cousin and son of then-Vice President Hunter Biden to help her mother secure an administration position, saying it would be “good for her” and that she “needs it more than I do right now,” according to the emails reviewed by Fox News Digital. Just over a year later, Owens was appointed to a four-month ceremonial post as the “Alternate Representative of the United States to the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly,” which paid approximately $26. $000.

The March 2015 email exchange between Missy and Hunter came in response to a White House press release announcing that Hunter’s longtime business partner Eric Schwerin had been named to the Heritage Preservation Commission. Americans abroad.

“Is this our Eric?” Missy asked, prompting Hunter to confirm that was the case.

“I didn’t know she wanted to do this to me [sic] of these. Eric asked for one the day after the election in 2008. You know better than I what real and interesting appointments are. Let’s go through the list with Steve and see what makes sense,” Hunter replied, appearing to refer to Biden chief of staff Steve Ricchetti. “I don’t know how much 2016 and nepotism plays into it.

JOE BIDEN’S BROTHER-IN-LAW ASKED HUNTER BIDEN TO HELP HIM GET A BUSINESS LICENSE IN CHINA, EMAILS SHOW

Valerie’s husband, John Owens or “Jack,” who has been friends with Biden since they went to law school at Syracuse, has also benefited from Biden and Hunter. In 2014, Owens asked Hunter for help in an email saying he needed a Chinese business license “secured very quickly” so he could expand his telemedicine business in China.

“The time constraints are very tight, and the fact that we haven’t had one yet has caused a slight loss of credibility in the minds of the company. All of this translates into a need for a commercial license, and one obtained very quickly,” Owens wrote. “While it may seem like a trivial task, I’ve come to realize that matters such as a business license can end up taking an inordinate amount of time…time that we simply don’t have.”

He went on to tell Hunter that he would be “very grateful for any help,” prompting Hunter to forward the email to some of his business partners with close ties to China, saying, “There’s Is there a way to help him speed this up? Time is of the essence here.”

It is unclear if Hunter’s business partners were successful in securing a business license for Owens or if one of the “WOFE” business partners was sufficient for Chinese laws. However, MediGuide’s website says it has reached “an agreement with AnyHealth Shanghai”.

“MediGuide and Any Health intend to expand MediGuide’s business in China under the name ‘MediGuide China,'” the website says. “AnyHealth Shanghai will legally represent MediGuide International LLC in China.” It is unclear if AnyHealth Shanghai is the same company referenced in the emails.

Owens also took advantage of the Obama-Biden administration by receiving invitations from then-Vice President’s executive assistant Kathy Chung to attend White House events. For example, just over a year after Owens sent the email to Hunter regarding the business license, Owens received an invitation to attend the State Department luncheon honoring Chinese President Xi. Jinping, hosted by Biden.

Over the past year, Jack has golfed several times with Biden, in addition to other family members.
