With 2,51,209 people testing positive for the coronavirus infection in a day, India’s total number of cases has risen to more than 4.06 crores, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday. . The daily positivity rate was recorded at 15.88%, while the weekly positivity rate was 17.47%, according to the Ministry of Health. The number of people who recovered from the disease rose to 3,80,24,771, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.21 percent, the ministry said. After Friday’s update, the total number of infections stands at 4,06,22,709, it said.
