Baskin-Robbins rolls out chicken and waffle flavored ice cream

Ice Cream Lovers: If you like a little salty with your sweet, Baskin-Robbins has a new flavor for you.

The ice cream purveyor is launching what it calls Chick’n & Waffles as its latest flavor of the month.

According to a press release, the flavor features “a buttermilk waffle flavored ice cream with lots of crispy chicken and waffle flavored bites drizzled with a decadent bourbon maple syrup flavored swirl.”

It does not contain actual chicken, the company said. But the inspiration is focused on poultry.

“At Baskin-Robbins, we pride ourselves on bringing innovative flavors to market, which is why when we saw the growing popularity of chicken and waffles on menus, we knew we had to create a bold flavor that would change how our customers enjoy Chicken ‘n & Waffles,” said Hannah Suits, Brand Marketing Manager for Baskin-Robbins. “This flavor is an ice-cold take on the iconic brunch dish, recreated in a deliciously deconstructed concept which is unique to our stores.”

To mark the occasion, Baskin-Robbins will be giving away free unlimited scoops of the flavor from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at its 1225 1st Ave location. Upper East Side in New York.
