Less than 48 hours after his shock defeat in the North Carolina primary election, Rep. Madison Cawthorn took to Instagram to post a provocative, vengeful, and typo-laden post promising a return of “Dark MAGA.”

After denouncing the establishment-led campaign to overthrow him following a long string of scandals, Cawthorn credited those he called his true allies, specifically naming figures like former President Donald Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), “the great Charlie Kirk,” and Tucker Carlson.

“I am now on a mission to expose those who say and promise one thing while legislating and working towards another selfish, globalist goal,” Cawthorn said. “It’s time for the rise of the new right, it’s time for Dark MAGA to really take command.”

Before promising that this Dark MAGA would “defeat the cowardly and weak members of our own party,” Cawthorn said that “the days of good guy politics as usual are over,” probably not in reference to no-man politics. jews.

GOP state Sen. Chuck Edwards edged Cawthorn by 1.5 percentage points in Tuesday night’s primary election, and the 26-year-old incumbent could finish his term until January 2023.
