Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus continues his recovery from a knee injury as the Brazilian striker’s personal trainer releases video of him running on a pitch
Arsenal fans have received another encouraging update on the fitness of Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus.
The 25-year-old has been out of action for the Gunners since suffering a serious knee injury, which he later had surgery on, while playing at the World Cup.
Jesus recently posted a photo of himself standing on the pitch and now the striker’s personal trainer Andre Cunha has delivered even more positive news about his return to fitness.
Taking to Instagram, Cunha posted a video on his story of the striker back on the pitch and running.
It was accompanied by the caption ‘Gratitude for life’, with spirits clearly high in Jesus’ camp over his imminent return to football.
In January, Jesus told UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov that he would be back in about “four to five weeks.”
He has been consistent with his fitness updates, with fans eager to see him back in the Arsenal squad.
Jesus hasn’t played for the club since November, but Mikel Arteta’s side have always done well without his services.

Eddie Nketiah has led the line in his absence, scoring six times in all competitions since the World Cup.
Arsenal remain top of the Premier League table after 20 games but recent results have hinted they could be in for a blow.
Their trip to Everton ended in a 1-0 loss, just a week after they fell in the FA Cup at the hands of City.
Prior to his injury, Jesus scored five goals and assisted six more in the Premier League.
His return to the team will likely prove beneficial, with Arsenal still on course for this season’s title.
