Arsenal confident in Mykhaylo Mudryk deal after improved second offer

Arsenal believe they are close to signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk after making an improved offer, according to talkSPORT.
The second offer is lower than Shakhtar’s public valuation of £88m, but Arsenal are willing to pay more up front than in their initial bid of £55m.

Arsenal are working to sign Mudryk this month
Mudryk has made it clear he wants a move to North London and the Gunners are optimistic they will get their man.
The 21-year-old would provide extra attacking ammunition for an Arsenal side scoring for free and, having scored 18 goals this season, he is the type of player who could hit the ground running for the Premier League leaders.
Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi recently suggested that Mudryk could be a future Ballon d’Or winner.
The Italian was in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk last season before his tenure was cut short due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Mudyrk has won eight caps for Ukraine and only made his debut in June’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland.
He was named Shakhtar’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive season this week.

The winger has scored ten goals in 18 games so far this season
Arsenal are seven points clear in the Premier League title race but recently suffered a long-term injury to Gabriel Jesus which required reinforcements.
While Arsenal are the likeliest destination for Mudryk this month, their London rivals Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
