A serious accident occurred during the night from Thursday to Friday, near Calais. On the A16 motorway, around fifteen migrants were mowed down by a heavy goods vehicle, we learned Le Figaro from a police source, confirming information from BFMTV.
The latest report shows two deaths, one seriously injured and three minor injuries. The accident occurred around midnight, while the migrants were walking along the emergency lane.
“An investigation is underway, entrusted to the Boulogne-sur-Mer public prosecutor’s office», indicated to AFP the Departmental Directorate of Public Security (DDSP) of Pas-de-Calais. The accident led to the neutralization of traffic signals for two hours.
