An Old School RuneScape player completed a feat so difficult and unnecessary that the community began to worry about his health.

The ballad of the fierce fisherman

This is probably the craziest and most absurd performance in the history of RuneScape. One player has decided to take on a grueling task that defies all logic: catching a million monkfish. It’s certain Reddit that the man named AvengedKalas shared his extraordinary feat a week ago. And soon after, the community began to wonder about the player’s intentions, without ever really getting an answer.

In the comments, AvengedKalas explained that he started this hard fishing during the pandemic. He would have spent, according to his estimates, “between 2500 and 4500 hours” in order to gather such a significant number of shots. During all these years, AvengedKalas would have engaged in daily “AFK farming” of two hours to three hours, while keeping busy on the side with films and series or playing other games at the same time. For the community, the feat is so staggering that players have begun to question the health of AvengedKalas.

I’m fine, don’t worry

In the comments, many players have praised the stubbornness of AvengedKalas, without understanding such a “waste of time”. Some asked the player if he was feeling okay, to which he simply replied “no.” Don’t panic though, AvengedKalas assured that he was “completely satisfied” with this feat and that he would now cook his catch. However, the question remains: why on earth did he take on such a challenge? And here again, the player displays a humor as absurd as his performance. Originally, AvengedKalas reportedly decided to catch a million monkfish after “a prank gone wrong.” Nearly three years of farming for a joke, this is a late-night humor that no one saw coming.
