Appalachian State pulls off an unreal Hail Mary to beat Troy

The Appalachian state magic has struck again.

Trailing 28-26 at Troy in the dying seconds on Saturday, Mountaineers quarterback Chase Brice uncorked a 53-yard Hail Mary as a last resort with time expiring.

However, his shot landed below the end zone and over a mix of receivers and defenders. That’s when the magic struck again.

After bouncing off the hands of several defenders, the pass landed perfectly in the hands of Christian Horn. He then ran with him eight yards into the end zone for another iconic win.

Brice finished with 278 passing yards and two touchdowns. Horn led the team in reception, making five receptions for 98 yards and that game-winning touchdown.

Just last week, Appalachian State stunned Texas A&M with a 17-14 win.
