Airbus will recruit 1,500 people by summer

The Airbus group has announced the recruitment of 1,500 people at the end of the coronavirus crisis, on the occasion of the creation of 120 factories in France. This recruitment campaign is part of the resumption of air traffic, despite the war in Ukraine which has an impact on air traffic.

Airbus is massively strengthening its presence in France. The European aircraft manufacturer will build 120 additional factories and recruit 1,500 people. After the social plan led to a health crisis, aircraft orders quickly accumulated. So Airbus found itself with urgent labor needs in all trades.

“It has to be done quickly,” says Françoise Viellard, CFE-CGC coordinator. “Virtually every part of the business needs to be bailed out. And after the announcements after, it has to happen.”

Producing the planes of tomorrow

In recent months, Airbus has gained market share against Boeing. Even if the airlines are in difficulty, they have no choice but to renew their fleet of planes to consume less fuel and emit less greenhouse gases.

For Arnaud Aymé, transport specialist at Sia Partners, these massive hirings are therefore totally logical. “Airbus is obliged to see in the medium term and not in the short term, because today is the time to invest in industrial capacities, therefore factories, people, skills, suppliers, industrial sectors to to be able to produce planes tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.”

And to complete the transition to carbon neutrality, Airbus will have to call on young talent, a major asset.
