The sharp rise in inflation is severely impacting the purchasing power of the French. Some will not have the means to go on vacation. However, aid exists to support them.
To enable low-income families to take leave, there are several support schemes, such as holiday vouchers. These last are “allocated by the employer or by a works council“, specifies the journalist Olivier Poncelet, present on the set of 12/13, Wednesday June 29. The latter explains that these holiday vouchers “allow you to pay for restaurants, hotels and also motorway tolls“.
For non-employees, there are other specific schemes. For young people, the National Association of Holiday Vouchers (ANCV) offers on the depart1825.com website “varied stays, by the sea, in the mountains, in the cities”, explains the journalist. These aids go up to 250 euros per person. For families with young children, the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) can help them go on vacation for a week depending on their family quotient. “It can grant up to 550 euros for a stay, and in addition, it can support up to 200 euros for your transport to your place of vacation“, says Olivier Poncelet. The CAF also helps isolated adults and people with disabilities. Finally, the ANCV offers to help seniors and their caregivers for all-inclusive stays, except transport.
