activists spray the Arc de Triomphe roundabout with yellow paint (video)

To mark the 5th anniversary of the yellow vest movement, activists sprayed the Arc de Triomphe roundabout in Paris with yellow paint this Saturday.
They are back. Several yellow vest activists repainted the Arc de Triomphe roundabout yellow to “celebrate” the 5th anniversary of the movement this Saturday in Paris.
In a video relayed on social networks, we can see a young man with a spray paint spreading a yellowish liquid on the ground while shouting: “We are still here. People are afraid to go to the streets because they have shed blood, but we are here. Here, on the Champs-Elysées near the Arc de Triomphe, the color yellow is still there, we are not giving up.”
The police intervened to restore order and traffic on the roundabout. These activists are part of the Première Rénovation and Les Insurgés collectives.
More than a hundred rallies are planned across the country today. On November 17, 2018, the yellow vest movement was born. It was created to combat the rise in fuel prices and had met with some success among part of the population.
For many months, the yellow vests had demonstrated throughout France and gathered around roundabouts across the country.
