A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of nine-year-old Lillia Valutyte, who was stabbed in Boston on Thursday.
Lincolnshire Police said in a statement: ‘We have this evening charged Deividas Skebas, 22, with the murder of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte.
“Lilia tragically died following an incident in Fountain Lane, Boston, at approximately 6:20 p.m. on July 28. She is believed to have been stabbed.
“His parents are being supported by specially trained officers, and we urge that their privacy be respected at this particularly difficult time. Their well-being continues to be a priority for us.
Lithuanian national Skebas, 22, of Thorold Street, Boston, is due in Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday, the statement added.
