2021 MLB Playoff standings: updated TV schedule, scores, results for the Division series
The two wildcard matches are over. Now all playoff teams will be on the field.
The Red Sox defeated rivals the Yankees in the wildcard match AL to stage a game against the Rays, who finished the 2021 regular season as the top team after winning the 2020 AL pennant. The Dodgers won in a low scoring affair against the Cardinals in the NL wildcard game with a scoreless homerun to move to the NLDS to face the Giants, champions of the NL West.
The clashes of the remaining division series each bring a lot of intrigue. The Braves, once based in Milwaukee, will return to Wisconsin to face the Brewers in a battle of the Eastern and Central Division champions. On the American League side, the Astros and White Sox will meet in the playoffs for the first time since the 2005 World Series, when the Astros were in the National League.
